Baahubali' to release on May 22

The long wait is over finally and Filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli’s highly anticipated and hyped film Baahubali is all scheduled for worldwide release on the 22nd of May, 2015.This film has been on the shooting floors for almost two years and at last this much awaited bilingual period-drama is finally all set for a gala release. The entire team has set up plans for a gala release when this film would be released in a record number of theatres. The entire team is extremely busy with the last minute post-production and marketing work.

Star cast

Baahubali features an excellent group of leading stars like Prabhas Raju, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannah Bhatia, Nithya Menen and Sathyaraj making important appearances in this film. This movie is essentially a two part film and the next part is scheduled for release next year.Baahubali' to release on May 22

The stars put in plenty of hard work behind this movie. They had to practice sword fighting while Prabhas and Rana had also to learn horse riding. The filmography and stunts in this movie are of very high quality and are true paced with the story and events of the period being portrayed in the film. Action Director Peter Hein had to handle around a whopping 2000 stuntmen and elephants. The film has been very aptly directed and handled as making a period film involves a number of extra efforts and precautions.

Scenery

The film has been made on a lavish budget and promises to provide an enchanting and thrilling experience for the audience. The locations used for the shooting and action sequences are marvelous and varied. The shooting commenced at the famous Rock Gardens in Kurnool and moved on to the Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. The next stage of the shoot was in Kerala and even included the majestic Athirappily Falls in the roster. The war sequences were shot in Ramoji Fil City where a massive set was erected for this purpose. The show moved on further to Golconda Fort and later on to Annapurna studios in Hyderabad. The unit even travelled to Bulgaria for some part of the shooting for a period of almost a month. The film required sourcing of around one thousand horses from Rajasthan.

 

Expectations

The announcement of the release date has put the entire unit on a fast forward mode with the last minute details. A number of promotional videos have been released on the internet and the crown used in the film was kept on exhibition at Comic Con, Hyderabad in a promotional event. The film unit has also launched a WhatsApp messenger to keep the fans updated about the regular updates for this film. The film is all set to be released in both Tamil & Telugu. The Tamil version of the film has been titled as Mahabali. The film’s distribution rights have been sold for a huge value of Rupees 23 crore in the Rayalaseema region and Rupees 14 crore in the Nizam region. Besides, the film is also expected to perform well overseas as well.

Baahubali, which features Prabhas Raju and Rana Daggubati, is a two-part film. The second part will release next year.
