With the bifurcation and all activities that unfolded last year with respect to making Telangana a separate state, the culture department had put forward a good and handy proposal for setting up a film institute. The detailed proposals regarding the budget have already been set to the higher authorities and important decisions will be taken very soon.

This institute will offer a variety of courses. Some courses are script writing, film editing, acting, direction and also cinematography.
