Telangana to have own film institute

Yes you have read that right. Telangana is set to have its own institute of films. It is set exactly on the lines of the Pune based Film and Television institute of India FTTI. This institute will very well teach the art of filmmaking and has already been proposed in Telangana. This is huge news for the people of Telangana and it shows that development is taking place significantly. It will be interesting to spot out how huge this institute gets as time unfolds. More details have been explained below for your understanding.

The Film Institute of Telangana

With the bifurcation and all activities that unfolded last year with respect to making Telangana a separate state, the culture department had put forward a good and handy proposal for setting up a film institute. The film institute for starters will go by the name mentioned above and there will not be any change as of now with respect to its name. it will be set at a cost of 5 crores. The detailed proposals regarding the budget have already been set to the higher authorities and important decisions will be taken very soon.Telangana to have own film institute

Courses to be offered

This institute will offer a variety of courses. Some courses are script writing, film editing, acting, direction and also cinematography. All these courses can frame the careers of many people as they have proved to be very job oriented for jobs in the movie industry. The candidates must have at least a graduation as a qualification in order to acquire admission in the institute. The course will be a yearlong diploma and it will make the students job ready. The Chief Minister has already made it clear that the film industry will be encouraged to a large extent so that things can go on smoothly.

Proposals are pending

There are many detailed proposals regarding this film institute. These proposals are pending with the government right now. As soon as these are accepted, the necessary and mandatory steps will be taken by the concerned people. The major issue that is arising here is that the film development cooperation has not yet been divided between the two states. This issue is causing a lot of delay in the process of going through the proposals and accepting them. Once this separation takes place, the state will pursue all the possible options and process everything as quickly as possible. The plans for developing cinema are the state has gained a lot of acceptance and encouragement from the local people.

This is obviously very good news for the people of Telangana. This shows that there is a lot of development taking place. We just hope this is the starting for them and they have a long way to go as the time unfolds. Preserving the culture of Telangana is the main objective of these people there and they are doing a good job. We just hope they succeed in what they want to do and this film institute turns out to be a huge success.
