Piku the latest Bollywood hit is going to be remade in Telugu as well. At least that is what the latest reports are telling us. The original Piku which also had Amitabh Bachchan in it was a massive hit among the critics as it was critically acclaimed. The latest buzz is that the movie will also be made in Telugu in order to attract the Southern audiences to its wonderfully written script and plot. The lead roles of the Telugu Piku will most likely go to Samantha and Victory Venkatesh. It will be interesting to see how this movie turns out for them. Impressed with the movie
According to certain reports, Suresh Babu who is a producer and also the brother of Venkatesh had watched the movie Piku. After watching the movie, they had decided to make the movie in Telugu as well. This is because they were very impressed with the movie and planned to make it again in Telugu and impress the audience located in this part of India. He is also in talks with the makers of the Bollywood version of Piku and the negotiation is in process right now. If everything goes as expected, the Telugu Piku will be made under the banner of Suresh Productions.
Story
The story has been written by Juhi Chaturvedi and it is a drama filled with a lot of comedy into it. The story revolves around an emotional relationship between a hypochondriac father and a Bengali architect. The father suffers a lot from constipation. The emotions of both of these daughter and father unravel when they set out on a long car journey from Delhi and all the way to Kolkata. Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan have played the lead roles in the Hindi version of Piku and this was a very massive hit.
Venkatesh and remakes
Venkatesh already has a history of starring Hindi remakes. He has done a lot of remakes in the past by starring in Drushyam, Masala and Gopala Gopala. However, this is surely going to be very special for him because Piku is a very special movie. He will be reprising the role that has been played by Amitabh Bachchan in the original movie Piku. We just hope that this experience of starring in remakes gives him a slight edge over other possible actors.
