There is much contemplation on whether Puri Jagannadh will be directing the 150th film of the well known hero from the South Indian film industry, Chiranjeevi. There were a number of reasons for audiences around the world to believe that the duo may be coming together and working hand in hand for this new venture. However, recent developments talk of a completely different story as far as a collaborative effort is concerned.
Chiranjeevi’s next venture
One of the main reasons working together for this famous duo may become impossible is that Chiranjeevi’s 150th film is also supposed to be releasing in August. However, a recent announcement has been made by Puri where he proclaims his next venture, “Loafer” with South Indian superstar Varun Tej. This puts the entire situation in quiet a dilemma, mainly regarding time. Working together on two projects at the same time will inevitably compromise on the quality of the works.
The basic dilemma
The basic dilemma so remains that Puri cannot work in two films at the same time. It is highly unlikely that he will first launch Chiranjeevi’s film and then start working on “Loafer”. He will then return to the other film when work on “Loafer” is completed. The schedule for “Loafer” has been released as well. It will require at least three months to be completed and so Puri will be occupied till September. It is unlikely that Puri will be making such a big superstar wait for so long for the release of his upcoming movie. Most people as well as critics are of the opinion that Chiranjeevi will move to a different director for his new venture. The time clash will be making it impossible for the two to be working together on the same project at the moment. It will delay the post production work and release of Chiranjeevi’s film, which is not desirable.

Moreover, what makes it even more unlikely is that Puri has announced that he is yet to make the second half of the script for Chiranjeevi’s film. It makes it very difficult for the film to be completed within time. For a big superstar such as Chiranjeevi it is very difficult to be waiting for a long time with such a big project in hand. Hence, it is likely that he will find a new director for this upcoming venture. The public has had their own share of guesses and there are varied opinions as to who could replace Puri as the director of superstar Chiranjeevi’s 150th film. A likely answer to this question could be VV Vinayak. It seems like the most likely choice from the opinions put forward by his fans. In the meantime Puri loses a chance to direct one of the greatest superstars of his time. It seems like he will have to give up on the chance of directing the greatest superstar of the industry at the moment, in order to be satisfied with someone from the superstar camp in general.
