It was a special day in Hyderabad when two of India’s great superstars, two acting maestros, Shah Rukh Khan, who goes by his legendary sobriquet SRK, and the king of South Indian film industry, Mahesh Babu, met each other. It was in the set of Mahesh Babu’s upcoming film in Telugu, “Brahmotsavam” where the two met on Saturday and shared some pleasant memories together. It was not a mere coincidence since both Mahesh and Shah Rukh, two shining names in two industries, was in the shooting process. The shooting was taking place in Ramoji Film City. It was a special occasion all of a sudden when two great stars suddenly came face to face.
The place of meeting
Shah Rukh was busy in the shooting process for his upcoming film “Dilwale” like Mahesh Babu was doing for his film. He decided to drop in as a courtesy visit as he heard about Mahesh Babu’s shooting in the nearby studio. The set of “Brahmotsavam” glittered like never before as Shah Rukh entered and met the star, Sitara who is Mahesh’s daughter, and Namrata Shirodkar who is Mahesh’s wife. It proved time and again that Shah Rukh can humble the greatest of stars. With his humility despite his stardom and fame, Shah Rukh has gained a fan in Mahesh Babu as he seemed to be excited by this special visit. It was for him, as if, a lucky day in the film city that a happy coincidence brought him and king khan together.
The tweets that followed
The euphoria and excitement was of course followed by thanksgiving. Mahesh Babu tweeted immediately after the visit saying that it was a special meeting in the Brahmotsavam sets that day. Not only he, but also all the members of the shooting, the cast and crew, were thrilled to say the least. He gave him his regards and thanked him for his visit. He also mentioned that he was humbled by this token of surprise. Shah Rukh, being the master in public relations, has always maintained cordial relations with everyone. He was on the spot once again when he replied on the tweeter. He said that it was actually his pleasure and mentioned the warm-hearted crew who welcomed the star despite it being a surprise visit. He also jokingly added that he would like to have some delicacies of Hyderabad when he meets him again, maybe in that set. The two stars’ exemplary behaviour has been well worth a lesson for the industry.
Other meetings
Apart from this special meeting, SRK also was very kind to one of his celebrity fans, Saina Nehwal, the badminton superstar of India. It was also a result of the tweet that Saina did a few days back about she wanting to meet her idol. SRK responded to his celebrity fan’s request immediately after reaching Hyderabad for shooting. “Dilwale” is Shah Rukh’s upcoming film that also features Kajol, Kriti Sanon and Varun Dhawan. It is likely to release in the theatres on 18th December.
