It seems that Jagapathi Babu has recently regained his popularity and fame or so people say. It is common knowledge now that he has bagged a role in an upcoming film that is slated to be released on the 10 of May of this year. However the greater news is that there are rumours doing the rounds that suggest that he might soon be seen by Mega Star Rajnikanth. Jagapathi Babu’s career took a sharp turn for the better after he was critically acclaimed for his role as an anti-hero in the most recently released blockbuster hit titled ‘Legend’.
‘Legend’ has obviously proved to be supremely lucky for the veteran actor. Not only has the success of the film improved his social standing in the film industry but has also instilled faith in the industry casting directors that he has some really note-worthy skills in his bag. This has led the actor to get more opportunities and has increased his demand. Not only has he bagged more roles in such a short span of time but he himself also has increased his remuneration charges taking in stride his latest success and demand.

After bagging Mahesh Babu’s upcoming project which is still in the pipeline, the actor is all geared up to share screen space with the haloed superstar Rajnikanth in the latter’s next film. This is going to work wonders for his career. The cherry on the pie is that JagapathiBabu’s name was recommended by Rajnikanth himself. This Rajni starrer will have Sonakshi Sinha and Anushka as the leading ladies and is going to be directed by KS Ravikumar. The musical score will be composed by the veteran singer and composer A. R.Rahman. All in all, this is one film that one has to watch out for.
The director Ravikumar, while finalising the ensemble for his star cast, was looking for a strong actor to perform in the negative lead and that is when Rajnikanth suggested Jagapathi’s name. It is said that Jagapathi’s role in the film ‘Kathanayakudu’, had impressed Rajni and he was convinced that Jagapathi would be best for the villain’s role in his upcoming film.

Thus Jagapathi was flattered by such an honour when the makers approached him right away. Now who could say no to such a meaty role and most of all the commands of the very accomplished veteran actor Rajnikanth. Jagapathi Babu accepted the offer right away. Confirming this exciting news, Jagapathi also mentioned in his Facebook page that he couldn’t wait to work with Rajni saying, “All set to work with the Thalaiva, the emperor of Indian Film Industry, Rajnikanth in one of my forthcoming projects. Excitement is an understatement.”
This makes it seem that Jagapathi Babu’s stars are shining upon him as his career has entered his best phase as of now. He is being flooded with roles and good ones too. His paycheck has increased and things are looking up for him. Apart from this major development, the actor is also set to work with Mahesh and Manchu Manoj in their upcoming projects.
