Prashant Mandava is about to launch his career as a director with the upcoming Telugu film named Pratinidhi. The film is being produced by J. Sambasiva Rao under the banner of Sudha Cinemas. Mandava has roped in upcoming Tollywood actor, Nara Rohith, to play the male lead, while ShubhraAyyappa will be seen romancing him on screen in her debut film. Rumour has it that ace producer, Dil Raja is in acquisition of the theatrical rights of the film which is set to release by the end of the month of January, or in February, in 2014.
The film belongs to the genre of political thriller, and is meant to show the dark side of the world of politics and how it affects the society and the people. The plot of the story revolves around the male lead, played by Nara, who is a responsible citizen. The story builds around why he kidnaps the Chief Minister of the state of Andhra Pradesh. The film, which was launched in the month of June in 2013, launched its first teaser in July of the same year. Its music, which has been composed by Sai Karthik, was released in November in Hyderabad. The political satire has been written by Anand Ravi with powerful dialogues, presented by GummadiRavindraBabu. The audience has given great response to the teaser and the music of the film. But, it is not just the fans that the film’s first look has managed to impress, but also producer Dil Raju. Apparently, he has been so impressed by the film’s concept and its trailer, that he has expressed his desire to make the film a part of his banner. The film was supposed to release in December, 2013, but, due to technical hindrances, the release had to be postponed. Apparently, even though the shooting of the film was done a long time back, there were no takers for distribution of the film, and interestingly enough, that is because the film revolves around such an off-beat plot.Close sources say that Dil Raju is toying with the idea to buy the rights of the movie worth Rs. 2.75 Cr., and that he wants to present the movie in the Nizam and Uttar Andhra regions, without caring about how the film works.
However, there is no been no official declaration in this regard. The film has already completed the formalities with the censor board, which has awarded Pratinidhi an A/U certificate. Movie lovers across the world are awaiting its release in a large number of theatres soon.
