Gulf Andhra presents Gulf Andhra Music Awards, namely GAMA for the Music industry situated in Tollywood. This awards show felicitates the best singers, music directors, lyricists. They also give lifetime achievement awards to those who have presented some great music to the Tollywood industry. This year, the Gulf Andhra Music Awards has taken place recently. Many stars were present in the Award ceremony namely, Charmy Kaur, Poonam Bajwa, Roja, Boyapati Srinu, Sai Kumar, Gita, Ali, Geetha Madhuri, Hema. The award ceremony took place at Dubai’s Zabeel Park. Some outstanding music has been awarded this time. Dance shows have been presented by stunning Poonam Bajwa, Kamna Jethmalani, Charmi Kaur.
Poonam Bajwa, who started his career with Modati Cinema in Telugu film industry in the year 2005, has done seven Telugu film. Premanthe Inthe, Boss, I Love You, , Parugu, Ethiri En 3 and Kannaale Kannan. She has done some great work in all her movies. She is also affluent to work in Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada movies. She is also famous to work opposite the big shot Nagarjuna in the movie Boss. She has performed on several dance numbers for Gulf Andhra Music Awards. Charmy Kaur, who has done nearly forty Telugu movies by far, has also performed in the show. She has given some sizzling appearance, and made the night spectacular for the viewers, present in the park. She was famous for her moves in the movies Manthra and Pournami.
Legendary S P Balasubramanyam played some excellent music pieces for the evening. S P Balasubramanyam is a renowned film playback singer, music director and voice actor. He won the National Award for best male playback singer six times. He also won Nandi awards for twenty five times from the government of Andhra Pradesh, in his career. He has also got Padmashri and Padma Bhushan from the Government of India. The maestro performed some excellent pieces along with other musicians.
Lifetime achievement award has been given to the veteran director Satthiraju Lakshmi Narayana, aka Bapu. He has made some excellent movies like Seeta Kalyanam, Vamsa Vruksham, Pelli Pustakam, Mister Pellam etc. He won a Padmashri award in the year 2013. Bapu was felicitated with national film awards twice for his movies Mutyala Muggu and Mister Pellam. He received Nandi Awards five times as a director. He also got Raghupati Venkaiah Award in 1986.
The ceremony was crowded with many stars from the entire Tollywood, along with numerous dance numbers by some sizzling actresses.
