Nithiin is one of the young heroes who made a mark in Telugu Cinema with his youthful films like Jayam, Dil, Sye and continued to make some brilliant love stories such as Ishq, Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyindey, Heart Attack later. Being an actor with his own style, he became one of the first choices for youthful entertainers in Tollywood. Now, the actor will be seen in Courier Boy Kalyan produced by ace filmmaker Gautham Menon. Interestingly, he is also turning a full time producer by launching the young Akkineni Hero for his debut film. Courier Boy Kalyan is going to hit he screens this week and here here is an Iqlik exclusive interview with the hero:

Hello Nithiin..how are you doing?
Hi..I am doing good..

About Courier Boy Kalyan..
It is based on an entirely new concept which was never done in Telugu films. Few heroes rejected this script earlier but I somehow connected to it. It is indeed a test for my judgmental skills… Let us see!

Does this mean Courier Boy Kalyan is more of an offbeat film?
No. The film has all the expected ingredients of wholesome entertainment with a refreshing line and treatment. 20mins prior to the interval and the initial half an hour of the second half are very crucial – a must watch!

Were you skeptical about such a different film?
I instantly liked the subject the moment I heard it. Yes I was doubtful during the shoot, but now I am confident it will fare great.

How was it working with debutante director Prem Sai?
It was never like it was a first timer on sets. This film will fetch him great name.

Courier Boy Kalyan was supposed to release long back. What caused such delay?
Well, it was because of the Tamil version. Personally I feel the delay did the film a lot good. If the film released as per schedule, it wouldn’t have gained this much popularity. Now, it is the perfect time for its release. In fact the film deals with a recent sensational incident which is a surprise as of now.

This film is produced by Gautham Menon who is a great director himself. Will there be his influence as well?
Not at all. This is absolutely Prem Sai’s film. Gautham Menon gave his director the complete freedom required.

How was it working with Yami Gautham?
She is a wonderful co-star to work with! She’ll get a good break in South Indian cinema with this film.

CBK is a bilingual film. Didn’t you think of making your Tamil debut with this film?
(Smiles) Yes… I did initially but Jai was zeroed in much before. Never mind…I will work with Gautham Menon in near future and this time it’ll be a bilingual.

Any sentiment behind the title Courier Boy Kalyan?
There were two title variations we thought initially. One was Courier Boy Karthik and this one. As I already did a film with Karthik as my name, thought this title would be perfect. Prem Sai also suggested the same. Moreover, you know ‘Kalyan’ is my sentiment too!

There is a buzz that your production film with Akhil is exceeding budget. Is that true?
No. It isn’t true. It is within our estimation and by the way the script deserves so.

You have become a full time producer with Akhil’s debut film. How different it is to be a producer and that too a prestigious project?
I have been a producer for few films earlier but I never worked this hard and dedicated myself so much for a film till this one. I’ve realized that handling a big film is not at all an easy task but V.V.Vinayak made me feel comfortable and confident.

About Trivikram’s project…
It is yet another peculiar love story. We are confident about the line and now were are off on the right note.

Akhil’s debut film seems to get a strong competition with Ram Charan’s Bruce Lee The Fighter. How would you handle it?
It is not a problem at all. There is one week gap between two projects and that is enough to prove our film’s potential.

Thanks and wish you the best for CBK & your future projects!
Thanks a lot!
