Competition is a pressing issue not just for star heroes but also comedians in Tollywood. No matter whichever comedian comes or goes, it was Brahmanandam who ruled Comedy in Telugu Films for nearly more than two decades. But off late, there has been a general talk that Brahmi’s grip on comedy has been fading. After Race Gurram last year, none of Brahmanandam’s comedy tracks made a big impact in the films.

Though many directors are determined to take Brahmi in their films hoping that his comedy track would be a saving grace, even that formula has been backfiring now. Even his track in recent Bruce Lee was heavily criticized and people came to a conclusion that Brahmi’s comedy has become monotonous. In the same instance, another comparatively younger comedian is claiming the Comedy Star’s throne.

He is none other than “30 Years Industry” Prudhvi who got the name Boiling Star after his fantastic comedy in Gopichand’s Loukyam. Prudhvi got many brilliant offers after this success and now sources say that he is replacing Brahmi in many prestigious projects.

Some even say that there are other factors for why Brahmi is not being considered now. While remuneration is one issue, it is the age factor which is also coming into picture. Moreover, there are few creative differences between Brahmi and some star writers which is making them opt for other comedians instead.

Brahmi was replaced by Prudhvi in the upcoming action comedy Shankarabharanam and Balakrishna’s Dictator as well. These two sudden changes itself explain about Brahmi’s losing grip over the throne of Comedy King!
