The film has a significance because this pulled Nithiin out of a major career crisis when he was going through a record streak of flops. Coming back to the remake details, it is heard that Ashwani Kumar Sahadev, a multi-millionaire based in Dubai has decided to remake it in Hindi.
He is planning to do the film with his son Akash who is currently in the process of making his entry into films.
