Though the entertainment industry is all about creativity and imagination, there are certain rules and regulations that need to be adhered to because at the end of the day, it is all about business and revenue. And where there is money involved, there are bound to be controversies.

The latest in that happens to be the one between musical maestro Ilaiyaraaja and Gaana Gandharva S P Balu. It is known that the legendary music director issued notices to SPB. Reacting to this, few singers expressed that even they are also eligible for royalties.

Well, according to law, only creators of an intellectual property are eligible for such rights. Singers deliver what is created, they are performers and not creators and royalty is only for creators. So, those singers who feel they are entitled for a pay cut, they should know about this law.
