Just like every other year, many films compete with each other and announce that their film will be hitting the screens during Sankranti almost six to eight months prior the festival. Such is the power of the Sankranti rice in Telugu film industry, as well as the Pongal for Tamil industry too.

So Sankranti is just two months away and here are the films for which you just have to prep up yourself to be at the theatres on time. So here are the ones releasing as part of this race.

The biopic of NTR, which has Balakrishna in lead role and directed by Krish Jagarlamudi is releasing in two parts. While Kathanayakudu is releasing on January 9, Mahanayakudu is slated for release on January 24.

The next one is Ram Charan and Boyapati’s commercial entertainer which has Kiara Advani as the leading lady. The film is slated for release on Sankranti.

The third film in this race from Telugu director is F2-Fun and Frustration which is directed by Anil Ravipudi and has Vankatesh Daggubati, Varun Tej, Tamannaah Bhatia and Mehreen Pirzada in lead roles. This film is going to be loaded with fun and comedy throughout the film.

Here is one film from Tamil industry which is going to give tough competition to the three above Telugu films. It is none other than Rajinikanth’s Petta which is directed by Karthik Subbaraj of Pizza fame.
