The two things people of India are crazy about is cinema and politics. While most of their time is given to cinema when it is the elections time, the entire focus shifts towards political parties and their candidates. In lieu of that, even the political parties start doing their thing to promote and publicize themselves in the right way.

Most of the times, special songs, ballads and small videos are prepared but this time a barrage of biopics are happening on these leaders. For starters there is ‘Yatra’ based on the life of the late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy. This has Malayalam megastar Mammootty stepping into the shoes of YSR and it has been made in a rich way.

Then there is ‘Kathanayakudu’ and ‘Mahanayakudu’ the two part biopic on the great N T Rama Rao. This has Nandamuri Natasimham Balakrishna reprising the role of his great father. We also have ‘Telangana Devudu’ a biopic on K Chandrasekhar Rao while another biopic on Chandrababu Naidu is also on the anvil.
