The most awaited biopic of former CM of united Andhra Pradesh YS Rajashekara Reddy, Yatra is all set to hit the screens on 9th February.
Based on the political journey of YSR, the movie is going to sensationalize the episodes from his 900-km Padayatra that he had taken up as part of 2004 polls. Featuring the Malayalam Superstar Mammootty as YSR, the film directed by Mahi V Raghav has Ashritha Vemuganti playing the role of YS Vijayamma. Over the last few days, several rumours emerged about who's going to be seen as YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, YSRCP President and leader of the opposition for Andhra Pradesh state.
Many star actors were speculated to have played the role of Jagan in Yatra, but our latest reports suggest that YS Jagan himself will be seen in his role on the silver screen. But, the YSRCP chief will not be acting in this film. This biographical film will majorly focus on late CM YS Rajashekara Reddy's 'Padayatra' and how he formed the government by winning the 2004 polls. Reportedly, the film's ending is going be YSR's death in a chopper crash.
The final few minutes of the film will have original footage of YSR and in those real visuals, Jagan will be seen during the final rites of late leader YSR. The pre-release event of Yatra is scheduled to be held in Vishakhapatnam on February 1. YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is expected to grace this function as the chief guest.
