Even though Telugu Desham Party faced a huge storm in the form of YSRCP, actor and politician Nandamuri Balakrishna emerged victorious from Hindupur assembly segment in Andhra Pradesh.

After his victory, on Tuesday, Balakrishna has attended NTR birth anniversary celebrations in Hindupur along with his wife Vasundhara. Speaking on this occasion, he thanked voters of Hindupur for keeping faith on him. He said, "I will continue to take an active part in Hindupur development and I make an appeal to all the TDP followers to not lose heart for the party's poor performance in general elections." Several hundreds of people gathered to listen to him and Balakrishna has taken them by surprise with his new look. Though we aren't sure if it is the look for his next film under KS Ravi Kumar's direction, the appearance of Balakrishna is sure to a high to his fans. In a thick beard, with some portion of it in grey, Balakrishna looks ferocious and aggressive.

In the recently concluded polls, Balakrishna won on YSRCP candidate and gained a majority of 17,028 votes in Hindupur segment, which has been a stronghold of his family from more than three decades.
