It has been some time since actor Mohan Babu has been seen on screen and now, he is all set to make his presence on-screen with two Tamil films. After Mahanti, he wasn’t seen in any Telugu film too.

News that Mohan Babu is taking up roles in Tamil films has been doing rounds for a long time and it is very much true that he has signed two.

Well, this versatile actor is shooting with Suriya for his upcoming film with Sudha Kongara. Titled Soorarai Pottru, this film is based on the life of Indian Entrepreneur GR Gopinath, a retired Indian Army Captain and founder of Air Deccan.

Sudha and Suriya have approached Mohan Babu through Manchu Lakshmi and we learned that he loved the script.

We have one more update about Mohan Babu and that is that he will play the role of Periya Pazhuvettaraiyar in his next Tamil film. It is none other than Mani Ratnam who has roped in Mohan Babu for Ponniyan Selvan, a multi starrer film. An official confirmation is awaited.
