Ranveer Singh teamed up with director Kabir Khan for this exciting film 83. The film is the biopic of Kapil Dev and will showcase the journey of team India in lifting the 1983 cricket world cup trophy. The film was released today and check out the review.


Plot:
1983 Cricket World Cup taught India to win. 14 men fought against all odds. This is their Story! On June 25, 1983, the Lord's Cricket Ground witnessed 14 men beat the twice over World Champions West Indies, putting India back onto the cricket world stage. Ranveer Singh played Kapil Dev in the film and the film is all about the situation of Team India, before, during, and after the world cup. The film also traces the journey of Kapil Dev, as a cricketer.


Performances:
Ranveer Singh is undoubtedly a phenomenal actor and this one proves it once again. Ranveer is the biggest strength of the film and the way he emoted in the movie is extremely nice. He did a lot of hard work for the film and made sure he looked like Kapil Dev. He played his part well in the emotional scenes. Deepika Padukone played his wife and she also displayed a great performance. Jeeva, Hardy Sandhu, and others are also equally good in the movie.


Technical Aspects:
Kabir Khan is one of the brilliant directors. The director worked hard and has displayed great talent by bringing all crafts together to perfection. The making is extraordinary. The production design is excellent and the costume designer too worked hard to bring the colors and designs of those days. The music is good and the background score elevated the emotions perfectly. The camera work is nice. The production values are grand.


Analysis:
The film's first half traces the journey of Indian cricket through different struggles and difficulties and insults. It was very emotional and the second half is all about how Team India fought back in bringing glory to the country. The scene placements are extremely good. The biggest minus of the film is not showing the individual journeys of the characters of the film. The film appears slow because it is focused only on the world cup segment.
