There were lot of rumours that the blockbuster Telugu movie Attarinki Daredi would be made again in Tamil. Actor Illayathalapathy Vijay had showed his interest over the remaking of the movie. Since the Telugu movie had set records at the box office, fans of the actor were thrilled and excited to hear the news that their favourite hero will feature in the movie.
According to the sources, now the star is not going to work in the remake of the movie as he was not excited about the project even though the Telugu movie was a success. It is rumoured that the star is not interested in working in remakes anymore. Therefore, he turned down the offer right away though the official statement is yet to come. The hunt for a new actor has already begun as Vijay had turned down the offer.

The movie had made some record breaking collections in its first weekend from release. It had earned a net amount of 30 crores of rupees. The movie is moving ahead towards crossing the 50 crores mark at the box office in Tollywood. It collected 10 crores of rupees from overseas performance in mere four days. Attarinki Daredi is now the biggest opener in the country after some of the Bollywood flicks such as Chennai Express and Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani.

In the meantime, the actor is tied up with his next upcoming movie Jilla. The movie is being made under the direction of Nesan and has Kajal Aggarwal and Mohanlal in the lead roles.
