Latest news of Queen Remake

It has been known quite well for some time now that ‘Queen’ is to be remade in the south. When this news of the remake broke in South, it hit the headlines. Needless to say the audiences had a lot of expectations on the right actress; many went as far to guess who it might be. The original storyline of ‘Queen’ is a heroine centric script and hence the role of the protagonist is of utmost importance. To find and zero in on the perfect actress to reprise the vulnerable appeal of Kangna Ranaut, is a difficult task at hand. After the rights having been bagged by the film’s director, Thiagarajan, who is the father of Prashant, there were several rumors doing the rounds that actors like Shruti Haasan, Nithya Menon and Samantha were a few of the lot that were being considered for the Tamil-Telugu versions of the film, much thanks to their loyal fan base in the stipulated region.

However, soon after the winds changed course when actress Samantha came out to openly confess that her creative differences with the film’s team has caused her to opt out of the project. So yes, she will not be a part of the movie. Rumor has it that apparently she wanted to introduce a few changes in the script, of course keeping in mind the conservative bend of mind of the viewer’s down South. Thereafter when she voiced her concerns and demands, she had an argument with the makers following which the actress then seemingly had a fallout with the latter which prompted her opting out of the project.

Changed plans

All this having been said about the remake of ‘Queen’, very little is known about ‘Bangalore Days’ as Samantha has strategically preferred to keep mum about it. she has not spoken as of yet about her presence in the remake of the film, saying that she was not going to announce her involvement in any of the upcoming projects in advance until and unless she officially starts shooting for them. However she did hint on working with her director of ‘Autonagar Surya’ yet again in the coming times. It is known although unofficially that she has as many as seven upcoming releases in her bag in the months to come.

Current and future projects

She is currently acting in the film ‘Rabhasa’ starring opposite Young Tiger NTR and Praneetha, who is playing the supporting role in the movie. In a recent press meet of ANS at Annapurna Studios that she attended, she revealed that ‘Rabhasa’ was going to be a complete masala entertainer with the correct mix of everything. On being asked about her involvement in the remake of ‘Queen’, she said that the subject was sensitive and she thinks that the script was more suited for the North Indian taste and that she will reconsider her stand of not doing the project if the makers appreciated her concerns and approached her with the necessary changes being made. It is a sad notion that her fans won’t be able to enjoy her screen presence in such an exciting storyline.
