Brahmanandam – The king of comedy
Brahmanandam Kanneganti today is the most efficient and popular comedian and in the Tollywood. Having entertained the Telugu community and several other with his genre of art, he has played several types of roles in the Telugu movies and has acquired a unique empire. His mere presence creates a comedy scene, before he delivers his lines. One can rarely find a hit Telugu movie without his presence and punch lines.
Brahmi in a new and unique avatar
After playing several important roles in many big budget movies, be it Bobby in Krishna or kill bill pandey in Race gurram ,or other roles like gajala , jilebi or jafa he has become an icon to Tollywood comedy. Once again , Brahmanandam is coming up with a unique role in an upcoming film Gitanjali. With Anjali being casted as the lead actress , the film is said to be a horror comedy thriller. Brahmanandam has been entitled with the role of saitan raj in the film. Saitan raj, meaning the lord of devils or somewhat similar , played by Brahmi is the crucial role in the film. Harshavardhan Rane and Srinivasa Reddy will also be seen in eminent roles. Gitanjali being directed by a new director Raj Kiran and produced by MVV Satyanarayana and Kona Venkatis , has got its music scored by Praveen Lakkaraju. With screenplay and dialogues accredited to Kona Venkat , the film has been portrayed over the M.V.V.Cinema banner. The movie has also got a special song with Brahmi and the lead actress, Anjali grooving on it. Saitan Raj , the character of brahmi is said to be revealed soon in an event , by a group of other top comedians of the Telugu community. The character of saitan raj seems to be an interesting eye catchy comic role. The event is scheduled to be held on 17th of July, which seems to be an awaiting one to the public also helping out the movie to gain popularity before its launch. The movie is getting good reviews from the critics , being one of its kind.
Brahmi and his long successful career in Tollywood industry
Brahmi was selected for the Allu Award in 2005 which it distributed in the memory of Allu Rama Lingaiah and thus he received the award in October 2005 in a program at Hyderabad. Acting in 754 Telugu films in about 20 years journey has made his name to the Guinness World Records . In 2007, he achieved Filmfare Best Comedian Award (Telugu) for his role in Dhee. In 2008 , for his film Ready , he got the Nandi Award for Best Male Comedian . In January 2009 he was honored with the title of Padma Shri for his innumerable contributions to art. Padma Shri being fourth highest civilian award. At The Hyderabad Times Film Awards 2011, he was awarded as the Best Actor in Comic role for his performance in Dookudu. Moreover, he has also achieved many other titles and awards in his successful and ongoing strong career throughout years.
