The first historic 3D in T-wood- Rudhrama Devi
The first Indian historic film titled Rudhrama Devi in 3D is going to release its trailer this dussehrra 2k14. This is one of those films which are simultaneously made in 2 popular South Indian Languages à Tamil and Telugu. We will see Anushka Shetty playing the lead role as Rudhramadevi, the Kakatiya dynasty Queen. Other actors à Allu Arjun playing the role named Gona Ganna Reddy, Rana Daggubati in the role of Chalukya Veerabhadra, the Prince of Nidavardhya Puram, Vikramjeet Virk would play the character of Mahadeva Nayakadu, king of Seuna Yadavas (Devagiri) The ruler of Kakatiya dynasty would be played by Krishnam Raju (role- Ganapati Devudu), and many more artists have played the supporting roles, to make the film a historic one.
Female oriented film budget crosses Rs. 80 crores- first time ever in Indian History.
The film is directed and produced by Gunasekhar, maker of Telugu movie, and written by various script writers,à Madhu Babu, Dr. Mudigonda Siva Prasad and M.B.S Prasad. It is in buzz that the budget of this film has touched the mark of US $ 13 million, i.e. Rs. 80 crores, reported to be the highest budgeted female oriented film in India and that too in 3D, passing the stage of pre- production in the year 2013 (February). The costumes provided are as per the Kakatiya dynasty queen’s wardrobe and is designed by the much known Neeta Lulla. She has fetched good remarks for her costume designs for this film too.

The film is all set to release its teaser in the right season, Dussehrra this year. The season is also a historic one marking the end of devils and thus the same story concept is likely to be for this film too. Though the Telegu films have always been remade in a dubbed version, in Tamil, Rudhrama Devi is also been made in these two languages and is set to make a full release in the month of December. This film is going to be the most historic one among female oriented films and news is that it would also be remade in Hindi language too for the rest of the Indian territories.
