Nagineedu receives the Nandi award

The highest award in the world of Tamilan entertainment including the Theater, Telugu Television, and Lifetime achievements in Indian cinema is the Nandi awards. It is jointly presented annually by the Governments of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. “Nandi” symbolize the bull. The award is being named after the giant granite bull at Lepakshi. It is a famous cultural and historical symbol of the Telugus.

 

Nandi Awards are awarded in four categories: Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Copper. A variant, that is Nandi Natakotsavam Awards for Theater is also distributed every year by the government for the social, mythological and poetic dramas. Every year, a state panel appointed by the government selects the winning entry, and the award ceremony is kept back in Hyderabad, wherein the Chief Minister gives away the awards. A list of rules are presented every year in the book of regulations. The standards for eligibility contains many norms and regulations. Among them, there is a direct requirement that the   films entering the competition should be produced in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, and in case of the co-production includes a strange entity, there are numerous conditions which should be followed in order to qualify for the contest.

Nagineedu receives the Nandi award

Granting to the criteria, in order to be eligible for election of the jury, a film should be certified by the Central Board of Film Certification between January 1 and December 31. The Government do not have any influence over which films are selected for consideration and which picture finally gets the award. Still the Government scrutinizes certain criteria that should be followed while electing the winner.

 

These year five films named Ye Maya Chesave, Gangaputrulu, Maryada Ramanna, Varudu and Simha received three Nandi Awards each this year.In the film Simha, Balakrishna received the award for the Best Leading Actor Male and Nitya Menon was nominated the Best Leading Actor Female award for ‘Ala Modalayindi’. The film Vedam which is directed by Krish with Allu Arjun and Manchu Manoj in the lead roles received the Best Feature Film Award. The film ‘Prasthanam’ directed by Deva Katta got the third best film award.

 

‘Maryada Ramanna’ received ‘Best popular feature film providing wholesome entertainment’ award. Chakri got the accolade, the Nandi award for the best music for ‘Simha’. The music director Keeravani got the award as the best playback singer in ‘Maryada Ramanna’. ‘Parama Veera Chakra’ received the Nandi award for ‘Best film which is based on national integration’. Though the film cannot achieve something good commercially.

 

In the film, ‘Maryada Ramanna’ Nagineedu received the Nandi award for the Best Role in Villian. Nagineedu started his career as a General Manager. He worked at Prasad labs. Then he received the negative role in the film Maryada Ramanna. S.S Rajamouli offered him the role. Apart from this movie he also played role in various other films.
