Bruce Lee is one of the most anticipated releases this year starring Mega Powerstar Ram Charan, Rakul Preet, Rao Ramesh, Nadhiya in lead roles. Music for the film is composed by high voltage Thaman and Srinu Vaitla directed this grand entertainer. Here is an iQlik exclusive audio review of the album:

The album starts off on the word go with a peppy number Run sung effectively by Sai Sharan. The track is essentially rhythm based and maintains the tempo throughout with the support of heavy sounding drums and acid rock guitars. The interludes are neatly laced thereby not to hamper the ongoing tempo of the track.

Ria is an upbeat track high on stylish layering and contemporary House and Hip-Hop fusion. Rap lyrics blend greatly with the soulful singing of Deepak leading to an interesting potpourri of a cool track. Watch out for the impressive Pan Flute usage in the second interlude! The lyrics strike a balance between yesteryear poetry with fancy usage of words.

It is time for a funkiest item number Kung Fu Kumari dazed up with funky lyrics and confident vocals of Deepak and Ramya Behara. The rhythm and overall appeal of the composition would surely remind the listener of Thaman’s trademark item songs such as Poovai Poovai from Dookudu but this composition is high on trendiness.

Apparently Thaman takes a much needed break from his high energy composing with a relaxing melody Laychalo sung effectively by himself as well as Megha. It doesn’t mean it is slow or laid back but has its own relaxing pace reminding the listener of a seaside break. Watch out for the groovy saxophone in the second interlude which is fantastic!

A bigger boundary for item songs is created with Bruce Lee with sultry vocals of Simha and Sameera Bharadwaj. The rhythm is quite catchy and fun filled but the bass work and sequencing lacks a definite trajectory. The only surprise the track offers is a passionate violin solo which makes an unlikely appearance in a folksy song of this sort.

Verdict:
Bruce Lee is a commercial package with its good dose of trendiness and style. It marks another successful album in the combo of Thaman & Srinu Vaitla who aim for perfect commercial entertainers!
