Gunasekhar, the man behind India’s first historical Stereoscopic 3D film Rudhramadevi is all set for the judgment day. He is not only known for some larger-than-life films but some pioneering filmmaking trends like DTS Mixing, DI, grandeur sets etc. With his Rudhramadevi around the corner for release, Gunasekhar made some interesting comments on the Baahubali, yet another magnum opus that became a historical hit.
Going into the details, when quizzed about the advantage Baahubali gave Rudhramadevi, Gunasekhar said that he wasn’t benefitted in any way from Baahubali movie as his film started much before Baahubali and even did good pre-release business before Baahubali’s release.
However he admitted that gates of the Bollywood market opened up with Baahubali and distributers are now keen upon South Indian films. Besides this Gunasekhar feels that Rudramadevi neither gained nor lost nothing because of Baahubali. Gunasekhar also added that Baahubali and Rudramadevi belong to two different genres- Folklore fantasy adventure & historical film respectively.
On a whole, these comments by Gunasekhar are in discussion in filmnagar circles. Well, we have to wait and see how these comments will add to the promotion of the film that is releasing this Oct 9.
