July has been mix bag of mass (ISmart Shankar) and class (Dear Comrade, Oh Baby and Dorasani) films, but there are still plenty of interesting films arriving in August 2019. The August lineup is full of highly anticipated movies, including Prabhas starrer Saaho, Sharwanand's Rana Rangam, Nagarjuna starrer Manmadhudu-2 and Gang Leader having Natural Star Nani. On that note, let us take a look at the list of movies which are arriving in cinemas this week:
Rakshasudu (Telugu): The psychological thriller features Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas and Anupama Parameshwaran in the lead roles. It is a remake of super hit Tamil film 'Ratsasan'. While newcomer Ramesh Varma has directed it, Satyanarayana Koneru has produced it under A Studio banner. The thriller film which has Bellamkonda as police is coming into cinemas with a good buzz. Gibran has scored music for the film, which is slated for release on August 2.
Guna 369 (Telugu): Starring "RX 100" fame Karthikeya Gummakonda and Malayalam actress Anagha LK in lead roles, Guna 369 is an action drama made by debutant Arjun Jandyala. Chaitan Bharadwaj has scored music to the film, which is slated for release on 2nd August. The story of the film is reportedly inspired by some true events. Anil Kadiyala and Tirumal Reddy produced Guna 365 under banner SG Movie Makers.
Jackpot (Tamil): The Tamil black comedy features Jyothika and senior actress Revathy as police cops and it is a black comedy. Jyothika's husband Suriya has bankrolled the project under his production banner 2D Entertainment. Director and Actor Samuthirakani is playing a crucial role in the film. The theatrical trailer of Jackpot has created a good buzz amount audiences.
Khandaani Shafakhana (Hindi): Featuring Sonakshi Sinha, Varun Sharma, Annu Kapoor and Baadshah as part of main cast, Khandaani Shafakhana is a comedy-drama film made by newcomer Shilpi Dasgupta. It is an interesting story of a Punjabi girl who runs a fertility clinic and rest of the story is about problems she face from this conservative society.
Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw (English): Hobbs & Shaw is an out-and-out action film directed by David Leitch. Featuring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham in lead roles, Hobbs and Shaw is the spin-off of 'The Fast and the Furious' series. Even since trailer of the film landed on Internet, it has set high expectations among cinephiles and audiences are looking forward to witness the spectacular action episodes on silver screen. With cinematography by Jonathan Sela, it is the joint production of Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Chris Morgan and Hiram Garcia.
