Mani Ratnam confirmed that he was holding talks with Mahesh Babu for a project. The star director revealed that they could not work because the story did not shape as desired. Later, the duo moved on to other films. However, Mani Ratnam still wants to work with Mahesh Babu and has shared his thoughts on the same.

Mani Ratnam revealed that he will certainly team up with Mahesh Babu again when he finds a suitable story. The director is currently working on Ponniyin Selvan with multiple stars from North and South.
