Just a single video of a song from the movie 'Oru Adaar Love' has taken the internet by storm and the girl Priya Prakash Warrier became an internet sensation overnight. The actress who has even grabbed the attention of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi has now finally come up with her Malayalam debut movie 'Oru Adaar Love' that also got dubbed in Telugu with the title 'Lovers Day'. Amid high expectations, the movie has finally hit the screens today on the occasion of Valentine's Day on February 14th, 2019. Priya and Noorin played the leads under the direction of Omar Lulu. Let's check out the review of the movie.

Story:

The entire story is set with the high school backdrop. The movie deals with teenage romance scenes, fights between juniors and seniors etc. The story of the movie revolves around Roshan Abdul Rahoof going around Priya Prakash Warrier and trying to impress her. However, Priya doesn't want to get in a relationship and keeps on denying Roshan. Then enters Noorin Shereef as Gadha, a tomboy to the rescue and to set up his friends with each other. There will be some cute and romantic scenes between leads. However, the rest of the story showcases whether Priya accepts his love or not.

Performances:

Priya Prakash Varrier is truly an asset for the film. Her acting, expressions, honest performance are wonderful. If kept the fact that Priya Warrier is a rookie, we will like her performance. Noorin also delivered a good performance. He sure made some mistakes but he is quite impressive. Roshan Abdul Rahoof did an extraordinary job. Michelle Ann Daniel is too good for the role. She delivered a good performance. Arun A Kumar performed well. Mathew's performance is impressive. Siyadh Shahjahan and Dilrupa Aswad delivered memorable performances. The rest of the cast also made their presence felt.

Technical Aspects:

The production values of Ousepachan Movie House are lavish. The producers have invested enough amount for the movie. Music by Shaan Rahman is undoubtedly the highlight of the film. His beautiful music elevated so many romantic scenes which became a plus point for the film. Editing by Achu Vijayan is clean. The camera angles of Sinu Sidharth are very good. Overall, the technical team did a good job.

Analysis:

There is nothing to rave about the story of the film as it is a cute simple love story but director Omar Lulu has presented it in a unique and beautiful way. His slow paced narration might irritate the audience but he has succeeded in portraying what he wanted to show. The movie is nothing else but a simple teenage romantic drama which showcases some school crushes, friendship, infatuation etc. The first half of the movie is really good when compared to be the second half. The first half is filled with romance, introductions, and parties the makers try to grab the attention by flaunting the liplock scenes posters. The second half is dull and boring. Some of the scenes will actually test the patience of the audience. There are so many scenes which could have been chopped off. However, Priya Prakash is one of the few good things about the film.

Plus Points:

Priya Varrier's Presence
Performances

Minus Points:

Bad Selection of Voices
Nativity Factor
Not-so-engaging screenplay

Final Verdict:
Not worth the hype!
