After scoring a debacle with 'Bheemili Kabaddi Jattu', Nani hasn't tried a sports drama ever since. But after a long time, Natural Star Nani is all set to come up with sports drama titled as 'Jersey'. Shraddha Srinath of Kannada 'U-Turn' fame is romancing Nani in the film. The promotional material of the film has already grabbed enough attention to the film and created a huge buzz. Suryadevara Naga Vamsi is the producer for this Anirudh Ravichander's musical. The movie unit is super confident about the film. Amid high expectations, the movie got released today on April 19th, 2019. Let's check out the review of the film.

Story:

Arjun (Nani) is an ex Cricketer who also loses the job at Food Corporation of India. His life is full of struggles. He eliminates cricket from his life which lands him in a lot of problems. There's no other way for him except to welcome cricket again into his life. What did he do? How did it happen? What happens in the end? Forms the film's story.

Performances:

Natural Star Nani is truly an asset for the film. He has delivered a commendable performance in the film. He has gone into the skin of the character and delivered his best performance. He worked hard for the cricket training and proved the same on the silver screens as well. Shraddha Srinath looked beautiful in the film.

This movie can be considered as a memorable debut for her and her chemistry with Nani is an absolute delight to watch. Sampath Raj and Praveen will also grab attention with their performances. The rest of the cast also made their presence felt.

Technical Aspects:

The solid story is undoubtedly one of the major plus points for the film and Gautam Tinnanuri should get applauded for his mind-blowing storytelling skills. His narration is absolutely beautiful and engaging. Despite having some complicated scenes, the director has handled them very well. Especially during the emotional scenes, Gautam has succeeded in touching the hearts of the audience.

Production values by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi are absolutely very high. Music by Anirudh Ravichander is decent. Not only a couple of songs, but his background score also added more strength for the film. Sanu Varghese's cinematography is commendable. Editing by Naveen Nooli is clean and neat.

Plus:

Nani
Emotional scenes
BGM
Dialogues

Minus:

Dragged second half

Review:

The movie starts off on an interesting note and most of the film runs in the flashback in the 90s backdrop which is shown really well. The entire first half is a blend of light emotions, romance between the lead pair and some comedy whereas the second half turns out to be very serious and filled with emotions. Though the emotional sequences between Nani and Shraddha are somewhat draggy, the direction is outstanding and will engage the audience. It is evident that Nani has worked hard for his cricket training and has justified is role. The climax is undoubtedly one of the best finishing scenes. To conclude, 'Jersey' is emotional magic and a must watch the film.

Final Verdict: Jersey is Nani's career-best. Must watch
