Nagarjuna Akkineni is back on the big screen after a long time. He is working hard in scoring a hit and satisfying his fans who were disappointed with his last two films. Wild Dog is the new movie that he is a part of and it introduced Solomon as a director.

Story:
The film is based on true incidents that took place in Hyderabad and Pune in 2000. When terror attacks took place in two cities, a team headed by NIA agent Vijay Varma (Nagarjuna) starts investigating the case and finds down the people behind it. What did Vijay Varma do to hunt them down, is the film's story?

Performances:
Nagarjuna is the crowd puller of this film. He carried the entire movie on his shoulders with his outstanding performance. His energy levels remained constant from the first frame to the climax and succeeded in justifying his role as an NIA Agent.

Dia Mirza looked beautiful and did a convincing job in her role. Saiyami Kher is also too good. Atul Kulkarni is also impressive with his performance. Ali Reza gave his best performance. Appaji Ambarisha Darbha, Avijit Dutt also delivered honest performances.

Technical Aspects:
Director Ashishor Solomon marked a solid debut with this film. He not only focused on the action part but also gave equal importance to the story as well as the screenplay in the movie. He also succeeded in executing the story properly.

Production values by S. Niranjan Reddy and K. Anvesh Reddy under the Matinee Entertainment banner are decent. Music by SS Thaman is the biggest plus point. Even his BGM is too good.

The cinematographer did an impressive job in capturing beautiful visuals and showcasing the visuals in a realistic way. Editing is up to the mark.

Review:
Wild Dog is not a commercial action thriller that we generally see in Telugu cinema. The director chooses a different approach which is a bit alien to our audiences. He succeeded in parts and failed in a few. The first half is quite slow and the entire process runs like a one-man show rather than a team effort.

Things get interesting in the second half though. Nagarjuna's sincere effort is seen throughout the film. The technical crew has done an excellent job in giving the film a different look. On the whole, Wild Dog is a decent film with a few problems. Can easily be watched once in theatres.

Plus Points:
Performances
BGM
Screenplay

Minus Points:
Familiar execution

Final Verdict: Wild Dog's hunt is not very pleasing!
