In one of those interaction with the press the Superstar Shahrukh Khan mentioned about the starting of his very own sports academy for the youth of today and the talents and potential they carry. He always mentioned that he would have been a sportsman if he had not injured himself. In one of his campaign he mentioned and talked about his love for sports. Through his investment in the Indian Premier League he wanted to widen the platform for the young talents to perform in the sports arena. In the same don’t drink and drive campaign he mentioned about his passion for all kinds of sports like badminton, hockey, football etc and according to his point of view the energy that is possessed by a youth of today can be unleashed through sports.
Sports Academy
In his show known as living with KKR which says about the very captivating story of IPL and how the players struggled to be the champion of the whole league. The show is going to be casted in the Discovery channel and it was in this show he mentioned about his interest to start a sports academy. According to him it’s not a waste to put money for the sport which is almost a religion in the country and he has always been happy and satisfied with his IPL team boosting them up after every match they lose. He has always been a football fan and has been a trend setter in the film Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge where he was shown playing football. Through his sports academy he wanted to train the young talents in such a manner that they can earn something out and make a living with what they enjoy doing. Shahrukh Khan is also interested in buying a football team which he will support in the football league like the IPL style and All India Football Federation along with IMG-Reliance will be promoting this.
