Shruti Haasan, one of the most famous actresses of Southern films is understandably on the top popularity these days. Her two back to back hits of this year in Telugu, Yevadu and Race Gurram have reached her to a high profile. Presently Shruti is in Hyderabad shooting for an item song for Mahesh Babu’s most awaited film Aagadu. In a recent interview this popular celebrity has revealed about her addiction to toys collection. Apart from singing and painting, Shruti Haasan has interest in collecting anime toys and comics. She said that ever since her childhood she is obsessed with toys and collecting them has become her hobby from then.Shruti Haasan has a toy fetish

As soon as she started earning by her own, Shruti started collecting unfamiliar and special toys to her kitty. She has a huge bunch of comic books and anime toys which she believes to be her most valuable possessions. These comics form a series of both national and international storylines. The anime toys are mainly collected from abroad. Shruti collects these from all over the places she travels for shooting or vacation. Shruti has a collection of an animated comic series of the 80’s which is now going to be adapted as a film. She reveals more that, apart from collecting various kinds of microphones to collect her songs, Shruti has an extravagant interest in collecting anime toys. Many of such toys the actress has bought online through different websites, which includes some limited editions dolls also.

As a child, her father used to sponsor her hobby of collecting toys and thus her interest has turned out to be her passion. During her visit to New York and London, Shruti has been fortunate to get some god collection of old series of comics from old book houses there. As she said in her interview, such collection of hardcopy comics is a rare found in today’s book market. Nor that these are very sparse and scattered, but patrons of such collections almost do not exist now. These comics have become a part of her comic library at her home in Hyderabad which is her relaxation hub she says. These rare dolls of different parts of the country and world are kept in proper arrangement in her house which almost resembles a doll house. Shruti remembers how she used to get some of these dolls from her father as prises on her school result days. Her mother has also gifted many of these on her birthdays. As she remembers those days of childhood, Shruti mentions some of her friends who presented a few dolls to her at several occasions. According to her, these dolls were the most favourite gifts of her. She herself has spent a lot of money in knowing places where limited edition anime dolls are found and has bought them. Singing being her another passion relaxes her as much as the glance of her doll house. She has been able in keeping all her dolls intact whichever she has collected from her childhood.
