Singer Kesiraju Srinivas who is popularly known as Ghazal Srinivas was put behind the bars on a charge of sexual harassment. A woman who works as a radio jockey filed a case against Ghazal Srinivas. She approached the police with video evidence and Ghazal was arrested.
The case was booked under section 354A, 354 and 509, which is for sexual harassment, Assault or criminal force and word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman respectively. But, Ghazal Srinivas has been granted with a bail now.
On what basis the bail was granted is yet to be reported. But, the real question here is if the molesters are set free like this with only a nominal period of stay in the jail is it justified? Well, the case is not yet closed. Hope the law does its duty.
