Three Shocking Biopics Of 2019

This is biopic season. The year 2019 seems to be getting recorded as the year of the highest number of biopics on Indian silver screen. Here is the list of some notable biopics targetting this election season:


NTR Biopic:

No introduction is required for this film that is releasing in two parts within a gap of one month. One as "NTR Kathanayakudu" and the other as "NTR Mahanayakudu". While the former is going to showcase NTR's film history, the latter part is about his political journey. The film is going to be concluded at the point where he becomes the CM for the 2nd time. The first part is releasing on Jan 9th.


Lakshmi's NTR:

This is the most controversial film in this election season particularly hitting the scenario of Andhra Pradesh. Ram Gopal Varma is directing this film and he has recently released a song titled Vennupotu, that made frenzy in the news. The film is set to release in the month of February-March 2019.

Yatra:

This is the biopic on YS Rajasekhara Reddy particularly covering only his padayatra episode. Mahi is directing the film while Mammootty played the role of YS Rajasekhara Reddy. the trailer has already received huge attention and it is set to release before AP elections in 2019.

Accidental Prime Minister:

This is the film on Manmohan Singh's rule based on a popular book. Anupam Kher is doing the title role while the other artists are brought from the theatre. The trailer of the film was yesterday and it's gong viral for the hard-hitting approach against the dynasty rule in India, directly hinting Sonia Gandhi.


Thackeray:

This is the biopic of Bal Thackeray of Shiv Sena being made in controversial lines without compromising on any aspect of history. Nawazuddin Siddiqui is portraying the title role and its trailer is also enjoying huge patronage in the form of views online.

There are several other small to medium budget biopics those are not getting enough traction but attempting to make noise this election season.
