'NTR Mahanayakudu' is the second part of NTR biopic which deals with the political life of Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao who is the former Chief Minister of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh. The first part of the movie failed to reach expectations. But, the audience are eager to watch the second part of the movie. Without making a huge buzz, 'NTR Mahanayakudu' has finally got released today on February 22nd, 2019. Balakrishna, Vidya Balan, Rana Daggubati, Sumanth, Sachin Khedekar etc play vital roles in the movie. Balayya in association with Sai Korrapati and Vishnu Induri bankrolled this project. Here is the review of the movie.

Story:
NTR (Balakrishna) made an announcement on his political party and started campaigning works. The government calls for elections in advance and NTR works hard along with his party members which brings him to the power. NTR makes sure that all the promises he made during the elections time are fulfilled but some of his own party members especially Nadendla Bhaskar Rao (Sachin Khedkar) shows no interest in the same and waits for the moment to become the Chief Minister. In some dramatic events, how NTR lose his power and regain the same? forms the story of the movie.

Performances:
Balakrishna has done a terrific job in portraying the role of his father, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao. His outstanding performance can be considered as one of the major highlights of the movie. Bollywood beauty Vidya Balan is a national award winning actress and she has proved it again with her energetic performance in the movie. Rana Daggubati is an absolute eye feast for the audience. He has completely went under the skin of Nara Chandrababu Naidu and did an amazing job. Kalyan Ram as Harikrishna did a convincing job. Daggubati Raja's honest performance added more strength for the film. Sumanth as ANR shines in a single scene. Sachin Khedekar will definitely need special mention for his performance in the movie. The rest of the actors also made their presence felt.

Technical Aspects:
The Production values by NBK Films are lavish. Music by MM Keeravani is a big letdown. Though the songs are good in the second part, his background score could not elevate the emotional scenes in the right manner. The dialogues penned by Sai Madhav Burra are definitely the highlight for the film. His dialogues elevated the emotion of the film. Visuals by cinematographer Gnana Shekhar is good. Editing by Arram Ramakrishna is decent.

Verdict:
Krish has understood what went wrong in 'NTR Kathanayakudu' and tried his best not to repeat them again in 'NTR Mahanayakudu' movie. It is evident that the director has worked hard on the script as well as the execution of it. The movie goes on without any major obstacles and Krish's storytelling skills are really good. But the film holds good only for the first half of the movie. The second half of the movie hardly makes an impression. Though the film runs on a good pace, it fails to create the interest to watch the proceedings. The film runs at a good pace and offers no boring scenes but the second half looks overboard with heavy dramatized sequences. All in all, the film is like a celebration for NTR fans but could not live up to the expectations again.

Minus Points:

Final Verdict: NTR Mahanayakudu - the best movie to celebrate for Nandamuri family reunions
