Chanakya is an exciting film in recent times. The film stars Gopichand and Mehreen Kaur in the leads. The film is directed by Thiru and produced by Anil Sunkara under the AK Entertainments banner. Read on the film's review.

Story:

Rama Krishna (Gopichand) works as a bank employee in Delhi. His original identity is Arjun, an undercover RAW agent. One day, his colleagues are kidnapped by ISI terrorists and he sets himself on a mission to rescue them and goes to Karachi. What happens then? Did he become successful? What happens in the end? Forms the story of the movie.

Performances:

Gopichand's energetic performance can be considered as one of the major driving factors behind the movie. The actor has essayed the role in an interesting way and gave his hundred percent. It is evident that Gopichand has worked really hard for the film and his hard work is visible in each and every scene. Mehreen Pirzada is pretty good in the film.

Her chemistry with Gopichand worked out really well. Their scenes together are a delight to watch. Zareen Khan went under the skin of the character and performed really well. Rajesh Khattar breathes life into his character and delivered an energetic performance in the movie. Sudhanshu Pandey is good in his role. The rest of the actors also will grab the attention of the audience with their screen presence.

Technical Aspects:

Director Thiru has come up with a strong plotline for this movie. The director has taken an interesting concept and made it into an excellent story and presented it in an even more interesting way. His pace of narration is definitely worth appreciating as the director has maintained it as constant throughout the film.

Production values by Ramabrahmam Sunkara under AK Entertainments banner are very impressive. Music by Vishal Chandrasekhar is excellent. Though a couple of songs are not placed effectively, Vishal Chandrashekhar's catchy tunes added more strength for the movie. Also, cinematographer Vetri Palanisamy also worked really hard for the movie and produced some catchy visuals for the film.

Review:

Gopichand who is in dire need of success has delivered his career-best performance in this movie. Thiru only helmed Tamil projects till now. But it seems like he has understood the Telugu audience well and succeeded in presenting the movie in such a way that will entertain the audience as well as make them stick to their chairs throughout the film. The film starts off on an interesting note and the first half is well written.

Some of the twists might appear boring but the director has handled them well in the second half and succeeded in impressing the audience with his racy narration. The major plus points of this film will include Gopichand, Screenplay, Dialogues by Abburi Ravi and BGM whereas some scenes in the first half will be the minus points. On the whole, 'Chanakya' is definitely a worth watching movie for all sections of the audience.

Plus Points:

Storyline
Second Half Screenplay
Twists
Dialogues

Minus Points:

Slow First Half
Few Unwanted Scenes

Final Verdict:
'Chanakya' is a high-quality engaging Thriller
