Hailing from a small village in West Godavari, Veerabhadram has grown leaps and bounds after 11 years of struggle and is today one of the promising directors in Telugu.

  • Personal Life

Mullapudi Veerabhadram Chowdary was born on 10th June 1977 in Kalavalapalli Village, West Godavari district. His father is a farmer and his mother is a housewife. He completed 10th class in a nearby village Unagatla in 1989 and was graduated in a nearby town Nidadavole in 1995.He came to Hyderabad in 1997 to take up MCA coaching and joined in several software courses but discontinued them due to his love for cinema,

Veerabhadram married Valli and he has two children, Sathvik and Rithvik.

  • Career

Veerabhadram is an ardent fan of Legend NT Rama Rao. He was a movie buff and was very much inspired with Ram Gopal Varma’s Shiva. After he came to Hyderabad for getting trained in software courses, he slowly moved towards cinema. He joined EVV Satya Narayana as Assistant director for a mere salary of 1500 Rupees a month.

Later he worked under several successful directors like Teja, Jayanth, Krishna Vamsi and others.  The struggle went on for 11 years.  His first chance as film director came from Allari Naresh. He directed Aha Na Pellanta starring Naresh and Ritu Barmecha and the movie went on to become a good hit.

His second film was Poolarangadu starring Sunil and Isha Chawla. The movie was a big hit and gave Sunil a new dimension as a hero. His third film was a prestigious project under Annapurna Studios banner. He got to direct King Nagarjuna in his third film itself. However, the movie Bhai was a big disaster and serious blow on the reputation of Veerabhadram who was actually aiming a hat-trick with that film.

  • Trivia

    • In one of the interviews after Bhai release, Nagarjuna was quoted saying he could not understand how he acted in such a bad film. These remarks from the senior hero  very much dented Veerabhadram’s reputation.
