Saree is something that you hardly encounter in films these days as the films made these days are replete with modern costumes and less ethnic designs. But, sarees are never out of fashion and hence, sometimes, the roles are designed such that the heroines get a rare opportunity to wear a saree and change the mood of fashion amongst the youth. Since fashion trends in films get reflected in the young generation’s tastes, a recent occurrence have brought a monumental change in fashion trends. It is because Lavanya Tripathi has donned a saree in her most recent film shooting. The film, ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’, will feature her new avatar and surely, it is a change in the course of fashion in recent times.
A difficult task
Lavanya has been quite famous after ‘Andala Rakshasi’ and she has been a sizzling and dazzling presence in the industry. However, nobody would have imagined her in a saree and she has broken expectations regarding that. Traditional clothes and her beauty may not be something that audiences are used to combine, but it is the case in this film. Formerly the Miss Uttarakhand, Lavanya said that it was a daunting task since it was a whole new experience for her. In fact, her experience during the shooting was worth remembering because of the problems she had faced. She is not sure whether she looks good or not, but it was a must for the role. In fact, the executive director of Annapurna Studios, Supriya, who was also the debut heroine of Pawan, made it clear that the saree was necessary more than anything. So, she had to toil for no less than half an hour to wear it.
A wonderful experience
While the saree episode was a difficult and uphill task for her, such was not the case in case of the rest of the shooting process. In fact, she was ecstatic that she had extremely senior actors like Nagarjuna and Ramya Krishna to guide her. In fact, Nagarjuna was encouraging to say the least. An incident occurred on the very first day of the shooting. Lavanya was given a challenge of performing a dialogue that went on for four pages in one single shot. While it was another daring task, Nagarjuna provided her with useful tips and surprisingly enough, it took only three takes for her to complete the shot. Apart from him, Ramya Krishna had also been cooperative and they became friends by the point the shooting was over.
Aspirations in the future
Lavanya is an ambitious actress and she says she will be very choosy too. Of course, when the star opposite to her is Mahesh Babu or Pawan Kalyan, the story won’t matter to her. Neither will be she bothered about any other aspects of the film. But, in case of other heroes, she will not be so considerate and this privilege does not apply. In that case, subject becomes the priority for her and she will demand a solid storyline.
