New star kid in the block
Keerthi Suresh is not a new name anymore. She has impressed the audience with her performances in various big budget projects like Vijay 60 or Remo. Now she is up and ready for her next project in which she will be sharing the screen space with one of the biggest superstars of Tamil Nadu‘s film industry Surya. Komban Muthhiah will be serving as the director of the movie and this project is touted to be a very vital film for Kerthi’s career.
Keerthi’s career has been fairly decent in Tollywood and her efforts are paying off well as she has bagged many new offers and exciting prospects. It is even surprising and worthy of note that she is certainly getting more and better offers in Tamil Nadu than in Malayalam films.
Scaling the peaks
Keerthi Suresh has had an interesting career so far and is often considered to be one of the brightest youngsters or newcomers in the industry. Being producer Suresh Kumar and actress Menaka’s daughter she surprisingly didn’t have the pressure of becoming an actress. She spent most of her childhood in Tamil Nadu and in Kerala and had experienced years of schooling in both the states. Her mother is Tamilian. However, she was a student of fashion designing and was set to embark on a journey in fashion designing as a career. However, it can’t be denied that she had already had the experience of working in front of the camera in films as a child actress. Most of these works were produced by her father Suresh Kumar himself. Among them, Kuberan (released in 2002) and Pilots (released in 2000) are notable. Her senior career however started under the direction and guidance of veteran director Priayadarshan in his horror comedy Geethanjali. She played a character with a dual role.
Even though the film was expected to do well, her performance received reviews that were mixed. Some appreciated her efforts but many critics said that she didn’t do justice to the dual role with her screen presence and maybe could have done a much better job. Two years ago, Keethi worked in her second film Ring Master which was directed by Rafi. Rafi is one half of the famous duo Rafi Mecartin. The film went on to become a success, especially in commercial terms and made big profits at the box office. Keerthi partnered Dileep in the film and got noticed by fans and critics alike due to her compelling portrayal as a blind girl. She also went on to work in films like Eedu Enna Mayam. However, the film didn’t do as well as it was expected to. Keertho Suresh is expected to do well in the future and hopefully will continue to impress.
