South Indian film industry has expanded its wings a long time ago and its components can no longer be called regional film industries. These industries collaborate all too often with each other and sometimes, with Bollywood. So, they have a pan-India presence nowadays. Rudraksha is being made under similar circumstances as it is dubbed to be released in trilingual manner. It is because the film seeks to map out a larger section of audience and this is only because south Indian films are becoming more and more ambitious nowadays. Krishna Vamsi, the director of this film has touted it to be a horror fantasy and is looking for a mega hit because of the star-studded lineup.Krishna Vamsi

The casting

Among the cast, the surprising element is surely the featuring of Ramya Krishna, Krishna’s wife. Ramya has last featured in Baahubali, the record-breaking hit of S. S. Rajamouli. However, this is a combination that has returned to the screen after 15 long years. The husband and the wife will surely bring a new chemistry together both on-screen and off-screen. Ramya will be playing one of the important characters in the upcoming film. Their last collaboration was in Chandralekha in 1998. While the film was supposed to feature Anushka Shetty but she is yet to be approached. Hence, apart from Ramya, the other female figure in the film is Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Samantha and Ramya will be working with four male characters and all of them will be newcomers.

An expensive film

The film is apparently sponsored by Dil Raju and hence, a lot of money is being invested in the film. The film is surely the most expensive investment in Krishna Vamsi’s entire directorial career. Hence, it is rumored to be the dream project of the director and is going to be a lavish project to say the least. The film has a huge section of visual effects or VFX. It is rumored to have as much as forty percent in VFX. Hence, visual effects will comprise almost an hour of the film. Hence, they are looking for a really good VFX studio that can live up to the standard and the investment. It is yet to be decided but the talks are going on currently.

The expectations

Since a huge amount of money is being invested, the director and the producer are looking to capitalize on that and are looking for a wider audience than ever. This is exactly the reason why the film will have a trilingual release. The film is yet to set itself into studios and it is likely that the film will be hitting the floors during the month of May or latest, June. The film has already set high expectations. Since it is a director who has already made a name and the film features some of the topmost names in the south, the fans will be awaiting the film’s release. Rudraksha is surely the crown jewel in Krishna’s career for more than one reasons or the other.
