Maharshi paves way for small flicks

The summer vacations are here and this is one of the times when movie makers are looking up to have a great time by taking advantages of the increased potential viewer base. As more people look to spend time with their children, movies are the go to options.

The much-awaited telugu movie Maharshi has been released, thus making way for the lesser known medium and small budget films also to take advantage of the vacation season. As Maharshi get released other films are going to get dates that prevent clashes and could cash in the customers.

The movie is produced by Dil Raju, Prased V polturi and Ashwini Dutt in the titles of Sri Venkateswara Creations,PVP Cinema banners and Vyjayanthi movies respectively. The lead role in the movie has been played by Mahesh Babu. Other major actors present in the movie include Pooja Hegde,Allari Naresh and Prakash Raj. The direction of the movie is done by Vamsi Paidipally.

The review:

The main reason to go watch the movie would be to watch Mahesh for his work. The character played by Allari Naresh has also been done in a beautiful manner. The impact of the character played by Pooja Hagde is very limited in the movie.

The movie revolves around the life story of Rishi played by Mahesh Babu. He works hard to become the CEO of a corporate company in the US. In this event, he goes to lose a few very important people in his life. On introspection, he realises that his definition of success had been wrong the whole time and he goes on to alter his journey from there on. During this process several confusions that arise in his minds are shown to the viewers and how he goes on to change his life under the circumstances makes up most of the story.

One of the major flaws that the movie has are the too many numbers of sub plots. As the lead character goes on from one circumstance to another a large number of sub stories are formed and these lead to confusion in the minds of the audience. This finally leads to the audience not being able to completely connect with the lead character.

Even though there are a few flaws in the movie story, the director of the movie has done a great job and the movie is to be watched if you are a die-hard Mahesh Fan.
